The following Employment Agreement is a contract between you ("the writer") and Academia-Research.com ("the company"), which must be read, agreed to and followed by you. All of the main responsibilities and requirements of both sides are provided in this agreement and are effective as of the date they are posted. Amendments and corrections can be made to this agreement at any time, if any substantial corrections are to be made to this Agreement we will notify all of the participants of it by posting a notification in the news section of the control panel.
Academia-Research.com is committed to providing fair opportunities in employment and does not discriminate against individuals based on their ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation.
All prospective writers must fill out and submit an "Application Form" on the company's website. Submission of the Application form does not in any way imply automatic status as a writer of Academia-Research.com and ought not to be considered as such. All application forms are reviewed by the company's Human Resource department, who make the final decisions on offers of cooperation with any individual. Every application gets due attention from company's HR staff. All application forms must be completed in full and the applicant is responsible for all of the information provided on the form.
Falsification of any part of the application form may lead to a temporary or permanent termination of employment (more in Section 5)
Some of the candidates may be asked to complete a test assignment, which has been designed by our HR department to evaluate the applicant's writing skills prior to hiring. Only after completion and submission of the test assignment will a decision on cooperation be made.
Should the applicant meet the company's requirements in their entirety, he/she will be notified about start of cooperation via email and/or telephone.
Every individual applying to work with Academia-Research.com is responsible for maintaining correct, up-to-date contact and personal information (names, emails, addresses, telephone numbers, etc.) Incorrectly provided information may lead to a temporary or permanent suspension of the users account and termination of contract.
All writers are contracted as freelance writers and thus Academia-Research.com bears no responsibility for applicable tax laws in the writer's country of residence. It is the sole responsibility of the writer to determine and adhere to the tax and revenue laws of their place of residence. Academia-Research.com does not provide supplementary documentation on payments issued.
All writers are required to have permanent Internet access, as this is one of the most crucial tools during the work process. All emails and messages from the company and/or clients must be addressed and replied to within a maximum period of 6 hours from the time of sending. Writers are expected to login into the control panel at least twice a day in order to check all of their messages and to submit works. Delays in submission of assignments and failure to reply to emails and/or messages may result in fines, the amounts of which will depend on the degree of negligence.
Writers are prohibited from usage of multiple accounts. If the company suspects any writer of using more than one account, company reserves a right to temporarily suspend all of the accounts until further investigations are complete.
In case if two or more writers are working from a single work station (computer) administration must be made aware of this immediately, in order to avoid any complications regarding temporary or permanent suspension of the account.
The company maintains the right to request any supporting documentation from the writer confirming the information provided during work application as well as to confirm writers' origin, education and prevent usage of multiple accounts.
All writers are required to provide high quality, plagiarism free work, fully consistent with client instructions and delivered by the deadline. Failure to adhere to any or all of these requirements may lead to application of fines against the writer and/or termination of the employment.
The company requires all of the writers to provide all of their work in the following format:
Font: 12 pt Times New Roman
Bibliography: Provided on a separate page and which is not counted in the total number of pages submitted
Spacing: All of the Papers must be submitted in the double-spaced formatting
File format: All papers must be submitted in MSWord 97 - 2003 Format (.doc file)
Number of words per page: 250 words
Margin requirements: One inch margin must be present of every side of the paper (top, bottom, left and right)
Order Number must be on the subject line
All of these requirements are subject to change depending on instructions of the client and/or directions from administrative staff
Academia-Research.com maintains a zero tolerance policy toward plagiarism in all its forms.
For our purposes plagiarism is considered to be the use or close imitation of the language and/or ideas of another author and representation of them as one's own original work without giving due credit to the original author in the form of a reference or citation.
If any writer is discovered to have plagiarized in part or in full any work, fines, in accordance with section 3 of this agreement, will be applied towards their account and may lead to termination of their employment
Should a substantial amount of plagiarism be detected in a single order, the writer is fired immediately and without pay. As well, repeated incidences of minor plagiarism will also result in the same outcome. Administrative staff will decide what substantial plagiarism is and what is not.
All writers are required to have a proper knowledge of the following referencing styles and use them in accordance with the assignment criteria:
- MLA
- APA
- Harvard
- Turabian
- Chicago
All papers must be provided on or before the set deadline. Writers who submit works late, without receiving an extension from the client and/or administration will be fined.
Extension of a deadline requires permission from the customer to submit the order late. If the extension is granted, the writer must contact administration to adjust the deadline accordingly. Failure to do so may result in paper being counted late with a possible fine.
Writers must remain courteous and professional in their communication with clients. This entails prompt replies to messages and emails received from the clients. Messages to or in reply to clientele should be written in proper English. Writers under no circumstances are to use derogatory or offensive language in their communication even if such language is used by the client. Should the client fail to act in a way not conducive to a productive working relationship, you are expected to contact administration and request resolution.
While communicating with customers, writers are not permitted to request or disclose any personal information or request additional monetary compensation for the current or future work.
Writers are not permitted to share their personal view/attitude to/assessment of the companys procedures/decisions/relationships between a writer and other companys employees including management and support departments staff.
Company releases payments to writers for completed work twice a month on the 10th and 25th days of every month. On the 10th day of every month the company issues payments for the orders that have been completed during the period from the 15th to the 30th or 31st day of the previous month. On the 25th day of every month payment is issued for orders completed in the period from the 1st to the 14th of the current month. On these days writers eligible for payments will receive payment notification. However, this does not mean that the payment will be deposited into the account on the day of payment notification receipt. Please see 3.4 for further details on payment periods.
Every writer is eligible to select the frequency at which the payments will be released: once a month, twice a month or economizing option (With this option the company will accumulate your payments until you change the setting in your profile to either once a month or twice a month. At the next pay date you will receive payment for all the pay periods during which you had the economize option activated.)
Payment Methods
Payments are issued via the following methods: PayPal, AlertPay, Wire Transfer, Remote Cheque, ACH Transfer and GB BACKs transfer. Every writer is responsible for providing correct information. The company will not be responsible for delays caused by incorrectly provided information. Please note, that should you choose Wire Transfer as your preferred method, there will be a $20 commission charge, which will be deducted from your pay.
Due to regulations set by the company's payment processing provider, all of the payments are being sent out on every Tuesday and 15th day of the month (unless the government holiday (e.g. July 4th) corresponds to this date). Please check the periods within the Payment FAQ on the estimated period of deposit of funds into the account for every payment method.
Payment limitations have been placed on those writers who have not accumulated at least $100 dollars US within their account (excluding possible fines). Such writers will be ineligible to receive payments until the amount exceeds $100 (please see Payment FAQ for further details)
Fines
The Company reserves the right to apply fines towards writers who fail to follow the requirements provided in this agreement. Fines will be deducted from the following payment. In case the amount of fines exceeds the amount of writer's outstanding compensation it will apply towards future payments until the full fine has been deducted. The Company applies fines for the any of the following;
The amount of fine will vary depending on the severity of the infringement and will be determined by administrative personnel.
Bonuses & Rewards
The company rewards writers with payment bonuses for professional conduct, positive feedbacks from the customers and in accordance with the personal feedbacks from the administrative staff. In addition, should a client request a specific writer to complete their assignment, that writer will instantly receive a 15-20% increase on the cost per page.
All bonuses will be added to the following payment period and will be paid in the full amount on the date corresponding to the distribution of the payment.
The Company's writers are prohibited, under all circumstances, to disclose any information of a personal nature to the customers, and are prohibited to release, post or disclose any information that may not be in the interest of the company.
Writers are prohibited to request any personal information from the customers and/or ask for the compensation from the customers.
Violation of these requirements may lead to possible termination of employment with the company.
The Company reserves the right to terminate the contract with any writer at any time for violation of the rules specified in this agreement. In the event that termination of the account has taken place any outstanding compensation will be forwarded to the writer in accordance with the rules set in section 3 of this agreement
The company is bound to act in accordance with all of the terms provided in this agreement, to provide writers with proper support and clarification in regards to the Terms of Employment or any other work related issues. The company reserves the right to change, correct or modify the current work agreement at any moment and without prior notice to writers.
Writers are prohibited to use/re-use their papers submitted to A-R for free/paid distribution throughout the Internet or any publishing institutions throughout the world. All works completed on A-R queries are of the companys possession. Any attempt to use the works submitted to A-R database should be considered as breach of copyright laws.
